Emily Nuttall has a strong foundation in counselling, having recently completed Level 3 Counselling, and is currently undertaking a BSc in Psychology with Counselling.
Emily is deeply committed to supporting neurodiverse adults and young people through both professional practice and lived experience.
Emily serves as Lived Experience Lead at the Transitions Eating Disorders Youth Intervention Project at King’s and works collaboratively with a wide range of organisations, including the Eating Disorders Autism Collaborative, Maudsley, FREED, Beat (the UK eating disorders charity), CEDS, PEDS, Club Majority, Orri, Peace Pathway, EDCRN, Grassroots Suicide Prevention Guernsey, UK Mind, Bournemouth University, and Birmingham University.
Emily also works independently through the organisation Motivate the Mind.
Emily’s work advances understanding and intervention across neurodiversity, eating disorders, mental health, suicide prevention, self-harm, gambling harm, and youth mentoring.
Emily focuses on bridging the gap between lived experience and professional practice, ensuring services are inclusive, informed, and genuinely person-centred.
At the core of Emily’s mission is amplifying lived experience through project work, training, public speaking, co-authoring, media engagement, and research.
Emily is dedicated to fostering collaborative and empowering environments where individual strengths are recognised, challenges are understood, and people are supported to remove their masks and become the best version of themselves.
